Experience: Board-certified or eligible in Pediatrics, Neonatology experience preferred

What You'll Do
Provide inpatient pediatric and neonatal care on a dedicated unit
Manage neonates, including preemies down to 32 weeks gestation and newborn resuscitations
Lead neonatal airway management, including intubation and ventilator support
Perform emergent procedures like UVC/UAC placement, lumbar punctures, and neonatal thoracentesis
Respond to neonatal emergencies such as pneumothorax and airway issues
Coordinate care with ED and anesthesia teams for pediatric emergencies
Participate in call shifts to ensure continuous patient coverage
What You Need
Required:
CA medical license and DEA registration
Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics or Neonatology
ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP certifications
Neonatal airway management skills (intubation, UVC/UAC placement)
Minimum of 2 years' neonatal or pediatric hospitalist experience
Preferred:
Ventilator management
Neonatal chest tube insertion
About the Assignment This assignment is at a well-equipped pediatric and neonatal unit of a leading facility in Eureka, CA. The role involves approximately 80% neonatal intensive care and 20% general pediatrics, focusing on neonates from 32 weeks gestation onward, including neonatal emergencies and resuscitations. The provider will be working in a supportive team environment, providing critical care during scheduled call shifts.
