A pediatric hospitalist opportunity is available at a medical facility in Potsdam, NY. This role requires managing coverage for newborn nurseries, high-risk deliveries, ER consults, and a pediatric inpatient unit. You'll participate in 24-hour call shifts and can remain out of the hospital if there are no acute issues, provided you can return within 20 minutes if needed. Both weekday and weekend coverage are needed, offering a challenging yet rewarding schedule for those passionate about pediatric care.

Job Responsibilities Provide coverage for newborn nurseries, high-risk deliveries, ER consults, and pediatric inpatient units.
Resuscitate and stabilize critically ill newborns pending transport to the NICU.
Maintain on-call availability, with the ability to return to the hospital within 20 minutes.
Qualifications Board Certified Pediatrician
Active NY State License
Certifications in NRP, PALS, BLS
Experience with Epic charting system required
Working Hours Varies, 24-hour on-call shifts
Participation in both weekday and weekend coverage
Skills Proficiency in stabilizing and resuscitating critically ill newborns
Strong communication skills for effective ER consults
Capability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
