Job description Med Ninjas is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for long term permanent coverage at a inpatient facility located in Reno, Nevada
The Physician must be available for the complete coverage block from Open Start Date
This assignment includes Inpatient, onsite hospital coverage, pediatric inpatient medicine, newborn nursery examinations, and Emergency Department pediatric consultations.
Permanent Pediatric Hospitalist
Shift: Varied pediatric hospitalist shifts across inpatient unit, nursery, and ED
Start Date: Open
End Date: Permanent
Position Details:
Patient Population: Pediatric patients; 30-bed pediatric unit with average daily census of patients
Setting: Inpatient
Responsibilities: Provide pediatric inpatient ward coverage, perform newborn nursery examinations, conduct Emergency Department pediatric consultations, collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric care teams, participate in teaching and education of pediatric residents and medical students, and provide high-quality patient-centered pediatric care
Required Procedures: Newborn nursery examinations and pediatric emergency consultations
EMR System: Not specified
Support Staff: Pediatric subspecialists, intensivists, and dedicated pediatric intensivists
Days Per Month: Full-time; schedule varies
On-Call/Weekends: Likely required as part of hospitalist schedule; hours not specified
Required Procedures and Skills Pediatric inpatient ward coverage
Newborn nursery examinations
Emergency Department pediatric consultations
Collaboration with pediatric subspecialists and intensivists
Participation in teaching and education of pediatric residents and medical students
Patient-centered pediatric care
Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics REQUIRED
Nevada Medical License or willingness to obtain REQUIRED
Most recent NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days REQUIRED
Clean malpractice and medical license history HIGHLY PREFERRED
Provider must already live in the area or be willing to relocate REQUIRED
Visa support requirement (J1 or H1B) must be noted REQUIRED
DEA must be obtained prior to start REQUIRED
CSR/CDS must be obtained prior to start REQUIRED
