nUnityPoint Health - Sioux City provides coordinated clinic, hospital, and home-based care for patients in Sioux City and the surrounding Siouxland area. St. Luke’s offers a full range of services and programs that includes a state-of-the-art surgical center, Siouxland’s premier birth center with a Level III NICU, 24/7 cardiovascular care, and Level III emergency department. In addition, UnityPoint Health - Sioux City is also home to St. Luke’s College which provides high-quality, health system-based education to individuals looking for careers in health care.

nEligible candidates may qualify for the HRSA Pediatric Specialty Loan Repayment Program, offering loan assistance for serving in underserved pediatric care areas.

nResponsibilities

nnnAverage daily census of 10; combination of newborn nursery and inpatient

n

nnRound on unassigned newborns in Level 1 newborn nursery (no NICU or Level 2 nursery responsibilities), circumcisions, ED and direct admissions of pediatric age patients, ED consultation when requested

n

nnNo delivery attendance required. High risk deliveries are attended by in house NICU

n

nnTertiary hospitals located 90 miles North and South with visiting subspecialists

n

nnAverage 10 shifts per month with balanced weekend and holiday coverage

n

nnOvernight on-call with in-house Family Practice Resident covering first call

n

n nQualifications

nnnMD or DO

n

nnBoard Certified/Eligible

n

nnSupport J1/H1B waviers (H1-B Cap Exempt)

nnHold an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Iowa

nnEligible to work in the United States
