Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• BSN completion preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Minimum 2 years pediatric RN experience in a large pediatric facility. - Experience with trach/vent patients, EVD and lumbar drains, chest tubes, JP drains, central lines, TPN/lipids, and CPM/ortho/halo traction is required. - Experience with colostomy, ileostomy, cecostomy and nephrostomy care; TBI, neuro assessments and seizure management; solid organ transplant patients (liver/kidney); and trauma and rehabilitation patients is required.
Shift & Scheduling: - Scheduling uses modified self-scheduling through an internal scheduling committee. - The schedule requires 10 weekend shifts per 8-week scheduling block (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). - No call. - Must work holidays as needed for scheduling.
Special Requests: - No RTO is approved during the first two weeks of the assignment. - RTO not disclosed at the time of submission may not be approved.
Unit Details: - Patient ratios are 1:3-4, occasionally 1:2 based on acuity; nursing ratios are estimates made in good faith and may vary based on unit and facility needs. - Equipment includes Medfusion and Baxter Sigma IV pumps, Kangaroo feeding pumps, CADD PCA pumps, and VocSN trach ventilators; three additional ventilator types are available. - Respiratory support is available 24/7. - Anesthesia support is available as needed. - RNs start IVs, with team assistance available. - The unit uses ketamine and heparin drips. - RN staff manage high-flow oxygen weaning.
Floating Requirements: - The first float destinations are Medical, Oncology, Respiratory, Cardiac Acute Care, Rehab, and NICU. - Floating may also include possible NOC sites (North/South Campuses).
Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027, 01/18/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027, 09/05/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 0. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
