PEDIATRIC NEUROHOSPITALIST / NEUROLOGIST BOSTON CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
The Department of Neurology at Boston Children's Hospital is seeking applicants for a Pediatric Neurohospitalist. We are particularly interested in candidates with a focus in inpatient neurology services providing care throughout the hospital including the ED, wards and ICUs. The candidate must possess an MD degree or equivalent and be board eligible/certified in Neurology. The successful applicant will join the thriving Department of Neurology. The successful applicant will be appointed at a Harvard Medical School rank (Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor) commensurate with experience, training and achievements in addition to teaching activities. The candidate should have a longstanding history of delivering superb clinical care. Compensation and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with experience and the final clinical effort and schedule.
Clinical Role and Schedule
The anticipated service commitment is approximately 18-20 weeks per year, structured to support a sustainable neurohospitalist model
Depending on candidate interest and programmatic needs, opportunities may be available for additional in-house overnight and/or weekend Emergency Department neurology coverage; the final schedule may be individualized based on the candidate's clinical interests and overall role.
Provide inpatient child neurology care across the hospital, including the neonatal and pediatric ICUs, general and neurology inpatient units, and Emergency Department.
Collaborate closely with pediatric neurologists, intensivists, neonatologists, emergency medicine physicians, neurosurgeons, and multidisciplinary hospital teams.
Teaching of residents, fellows, and other trainees is an integral part of the position.
Compensation
0-3 YRS: $250,000-$280,000
4-7 YRS: $280,000-$320,000
8-10 YRS: $320,000-$360,000
In addition, there is an annual clinical bonus in which faculty are eligible for up to $24,000 per year based on clinical activities.
