Pediatric Ophthalmologist Academic Medicine Baltimore Join one of the top academic pediatric ophthalmology programs in the country, where your research gets funded, your surgical cases get complex, and your reputation opens doors for the rest of your career.
Why This Role Stands Out A nationally recognized academic ophthalmology division with an international reputation for clinical excellence, education, and research is seeking a fellowship-trained Pediatric Ophthalmologist. You'll join a team of 8 faculty, plus fellows and residents. Patient demand is high and growing. You'll walk into a full schedule, not build one from scratch.
3 clinic days, 1 OR day, 1 protected academic day
Complex tertiary/quaternary referral base: strabismus, pediatric cataract, pediatric glaucoma, ROP
Room to shape your practice around your interests: heavier clinical, heavier research, or a mix
Additional ROP coverage opportunities at affiliated hospitals
Compensation & Benefits Competitive academic base salary with annual merit increases

What We're Looking For MD/DO, completed Ophthalmology residency
Pediatric Ophthalmology fellowship
Eligible for Maryland licensure
Genuine interest in academic medicine and teaching
