About the Organization

Endurance Solutions Physical Therapy is a renowned provider of rehabilitation services in the Glen Cove area. Our mission is to empower patients through tailored physical therapy interventions that enhance mobility, strength, and overall quality of life. We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach, where our team of therapists, physicians, and allied health professionals work closely to develop comprehensive treatment plans for our patients. Our focus on pediatric care sets us apart, as we understand the unique challenges and needs of young patients and their families.

Work Environment

This role is located onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Glen Cove, equipped with the latest therapeutic equipment and technology. Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, with a manageable caseload of approximately 2 patients per hour. This structure allows for meaningful interactions with each child, enabling personalized care while maintaining a robust therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pediatric Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

Conducting comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients to assess their physical abilities and limitations and developing individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's specific needs.

Designing and implementing evidence-based treatment strategies for various conditions, including orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and developmental delays.

Providing education and guidance to families about ongoing therapy techniques and home exercise recommendations to support recovery and progress outside of clinic visits.

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and physical therapist assistants to ensure integrated and coordinated care.

Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with children and adolescents, addressing a wide range of conditions that may affect their mobility and overall physical function. Your expertise will help children with developmental coordination disorder, cerebral palsy, sports injuries, and other physical challenges. Building rapport and trust with both children and their families is essential, as this fosters an environment conducive to effective therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:

A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; a Master’s or Doctoral degree is preferred.

A valid New York State Physical Therapy License and current CPR certification.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric physical therapy, though candidates with varied experience may be considered.

Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills to create and implement effective treatment plans.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to patients and families clearly and empathetically.

Preferred Experience

While pediatric experience is highly valued, we welcome all skilled therapists who are passionate about children’s health and are eager to learn. Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and techniques specific to pediatric populations, such as sensory integration therapy or play-based approaches, will be beneficial.
