Job description
We are seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Pulmonologist to join an established academic division in northeastern Tennessee dedicated to delivering comprehensive, family-centered respiratory care while contributing to the education of future healthcare professionals in the region.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric pulmonology care
Perform and interpret complete pulmonary function testing
Conduct flexible bronchoscopy evaluations and procedures
Collaborate with a broad network of pediatric subspecialists
Opportunity to help develop a regional Cystic Fibrosis Center
Participate in teaching medical students and residents
Engage in research and academic activities (optional)
Opportunity to shape a growing pediatric pulmonology program
Practice Environment & Facilities:
Dedicated outpatient clinic space with strong clinical support staff, including a full-time respiratory therapist
Fully equipped pulmonary function laboratory and procedural capabilities
Hospital privileges within a comprehensive regional children s hospital system featuring: 24-bed pediatric inpatient unit
48-bed Level III NICU
10-bed PICU
Pediatric emergency department
St. Jude-affiliated pediatric hematology/oncology program
Extensive subspecialty collaboration across neonatology, cardiology, critical care, endocrinology, gastroenterology, genetics, infectious disease, neurology, rheumatology, pediatric surgery, anesthesia, and radiology
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree
Completion of Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology at time of hire
Eligibility for medical licensure in Tennessee
