Job Description Summary

$10,000 sign-on bonus + up to $5,000 relocation assistance available

Full Time – Fri-Sun, 7:00AM-7:30PM

As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist at MUSC, you have access to state-of-the-art imaging equipment to capture detailed X-ray images, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment planning for a wide range of medical conditions across 16 community hospitals including 3 level 1 trauma centers and many unique outpatient clinics across South Carolina. Day (United States of America) Job Description

Compensation & Incentives  

Sign-on bonus: $10,000

Relocation assistance: Up to $5,000 for eligible candidates

Shift Differentials: up to $3.80 per hr (depending on shift)

Additional pay: (call pay, overtime etc.)

Shift Details:   

Schedule: Weekend Days 

Hours: Fri-Sun, 7:00AM-7:30PM

Holiday expectations: Rotating Schedule

Responsibilities

Performs high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.

Ensures diagnostic images are obtained accurately and efficiently for physician interpretation.

Prepares and administers contrast agents as directed and under the supervision of a physician.

Verifies patient identification, examination orders, and relevant clinical information prior to procedures.

Positions patients appropriately and operates radiographic equipment safely and effectively.

Maintains patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout examinations.

Reviews images for quality and completeness and obtains additional images when necessary.

Follows radiation safety practices and applicable departmental and regulatory standards.

Documents examinations and patient information accurately in the appropriate electronic systems.

Maintains equipment and work areas in accordance with department standards and infection prevention protocols.

Additional Job Description

Required License Certification and Registration: 

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.

Experience: 0 to 2 years of modality specific work experience.  

Required Registration/Certification:

Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required .

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required , either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
