Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Level 4 NICU experience required. Must be competent in the use of both the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Cardiac PICU experience preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.

Special Requests: Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away. Assignment length may vary: 13 or 26 weeks.

Unit Details: Children’s hospital setting. Neonatal, infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient population. Level IV NICU, PICU, pediatric emergency department, and complex congenital heart program including transplants and ECMO. Care for patients in the NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Every other weekend and every other holiday. Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays. Self-scheduling model; preferred schedule is not guaranteed, but accommodations will be made when possible.

Floating Requirements: Required to work in all units of the Children’s Hospital.

3 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• RRT-ACCS (Adult Critical Care Specialty)
