Job description

This contract opportunity for the school year near Gary, IN, places you at the heart of supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Whether you're a seasoned SLP or completing your Clinical Fellowship Year, you'll play a key role in helping students overcome communication, speech, language, and swallowing challenges-empowering them to reach their full potential.
Qualifications & Skills:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Active or pending state SLP license required
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred, but not required
Previous school-based or pediatric experience appreciated, but not mandatory
Comfort with teletherapy and healthcare settings is beneficial
Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities
What You'll Do: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in both direct and virtual settings
Provide evidence-based interventions focused on improving communication and swallowing functions
Regularly monitor progress and adjust strategies to maximize outcomes
Maintain thorough documentation of services and student progress
Educate and support students, families, and caregivers with actionable strategies
Collaborate with educators, healthcare professionals, and families for holistic care
