Job DescriptionPediatrician - Asheville, NC \ NJob Type: Full-Time (On-site)
\ NSetting: Outpatient Pediatric Practice (No hospital rounding responsibilities)
\ NPatient Population: Infants, Children & Adolescents (0-21 years)
\ NSchedule: 4 Days/Week + Every 6th Saturday (9:00 AM-11:00 AM) On-call responsibility during the Saturday weekend rotation.
\ NPatient Volume:
\ N - Approximately 18-24 patients per day, depending on visit type.
\ N - Well-child visits are typically scheduled for 30 minutes.
\ N - Sick visits are typically scheduled for 15 minutes.
\ NPosition Overview:
\ NWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatrician to join an established outpatient pediatric practice in Asheville, NC. The Pediatrician will provide comprehensive primary care to patients from birth through age 21, with a focus on preventive care, growth and development, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, and family education.
\ NKey Responsibilities:
\ N - Provide comprehensive pediatric care to patients ages 0-21.
\ N - Conduct well-child visits, routine physical examinations, and developmental assessments.
\ N - Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and common pediatric health concerns.
\ N - Develop individualized treatment and care plans.
\ N - Monitor growth, development, nutrition, and overall health.
\ N - Provide preventive care, immunization guidance, and anticipatory guidance.
\ NQualifications:
\ N - MD or DO degree with completed training in Pediatrics.
\ N - Minimum 1 year of pediatric clinical experience required.
\ N - Board Certification in Pediatrics preferred.
\ N - Active medical license in North Carolina.
\ N - BLS certification required.
\ N - Athena EMR experience is helpful but not required.
