n** Responsibilities: **
nnFacilitate and teach the philosophy to staff and consumers that recovery is possible for everyone.
nImplement and maintain weekly peer-to-peer support groups.
nAdvocate on behalf of consumers.
nBe trained and facilitate committee meetings and groups such as NAMI, Double Trouble, DBSA, WRAP, and Consumer Government.
nEducate and assist consumers with rights, responsibilities, and appeals.
nPublicize peer driven events.
nRepresent CREOKS at state and local meetings and awareness events.
nAttend weekly staff/treatment team meetings.
nAssist individuals in attempting to contact and re-engage consumers to treatment.
nTeach skills to recovery.
nSupport consumers in using a Wellness Recovery Action Plan.
nResponsible to provide Wellness Services.
nAll other duties as assigned.
n n** Qualifications: **
nnMust be in recovery for at least one(1) year from mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders.
nHigh school diploma or GED
nAbility to communicate needs to others.
nAbility to share story of recovery to individuals and groups.
nKnowledgeable on mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders.
nSuccessfully completed the ODMHSAS Recovery Support Provider Training and Test to be credentialed.
nBecome a trained facilitator of Double Trouble in Recovery (DTR).
nBecome a trained facilitator of Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP).
