OMP General Surgery seeks team-oriented surgeons to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation and care to patients presenting with general surgical problems, including critically ill patients and non-complex pediatric patients. OMP General Surgery supports Olympic Medical Center’s Level III Trauma Center designation and program. Highlights of the practice include: -Joining an established and successful rural practice in lifestyle setting with maximum 1-in-4 call -Industry-leading support staff ratios, including robust RN and Medical Assistant support-Responsive OR administration-Dedicated hospitalist program for medical admissions and management of complex patients -Integrated electronic healthcare record system (EPIC) with local and regional hospital systems -Built-in advanced laparoscopic practice with growth potential for foregut, hernia, and colon casesThe successful General Surgeon Physician at OMP is focused on providing excellent person-centered care to rural patients as part of a multi-disciplinary team.EDUCATION Medical degree from an accredited school. Successful completion of an ACGME approved postgraduate training program in General Surgery. Successful completion of requirements of the American Board of Surgery for certification in General Surgery.EXPERIENCECompletion of general surgery residency.Two years of practice in General Surgery preferred but not required.LICENSURE/CREDENTIALSBoard certified or eligible.Maintains an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington.Maintains current DEA registration.Maintains current ACLS certification.
