Job description
This Per Diem Pharmacist opportunity supports vacation coverage at a busy retail pharmacy located in Galion, OH. The position requires consistent presence Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with the pharmacy operating from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM without a lunch closure.
Key Responsibilities:
Data entry of over 200 prescriptions daily using PioneerRx software
Verification of prescription data and products to ensure accuracy and safety
Checking and signing for controlled/narcotic medication deliveries
Responding professionally to incoming phone inquiries
Collaborating with a team of three full-time pharmacy technicians to maintain operational efficiency
Qualifications: Current and active Ohio pharmacist license
Minimum of one year recent retail pharmacy experience
Proficient with computer systems, preferably familiarity with PioneerRx software is a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling pharmacy operations
This role specifically requires coverage on these vacation dates: August 10-14, September 14-18, and November 25. The ideal candidate will have flexibility and a commitment to maintaining continuity of patient care during these times.
