Job description
A well-established independent compounding pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage in the Chattanooga area. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment specializing in high-volume compounding, processing approximately 1,000 compounds daily.
Location: Hixson, TN (near Chattanooga)
Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Lunch break: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Weekends: Closed
Responsibilities: Supervise a team of five pharmacy technicians who handle data entry, prescription fills, and customer communication
Provide expert answers to questions regarding prescriptions and pharmacy operations
Oversee the mail order eye drop department, which ships three different formulations of post-cataract surgery eye drops
Ensure smooth pharmacy operations and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications: Current Tennessee Pharmacist License in good standing
Minimum of 1-2 years of pharmacist experience
Mail order pharmacy experience preferred but not required
Ideal candidates include retired or semi-retired pharmacists, or recently graduated pharmacists seeking reliable, flexible work
