Job description
A healthcare facility is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical services at their site in Charleston, WV. This per diem opportunity offers a structured schedule with weekday hours, focusing on excellent medication distribution and patient care.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Two consecutive weeks of assignments, totaling 90 hours
Key Responsibilities: Dispense medications as prescribed by physicians and other authorized health practitioners
Provide detailed information and counseling to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and safety
Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring patient needs are met with professionalism and care
Collaborate with healthcare team members to support optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications & Desired Experience: Active West Virginia pharmacist license required
Experience in retail and/or long-term care pharmacy settings is preferred
Strong communication skills and commitment to customer service
Ability to work independently and adhere to established protocols
Location: Charleston, West Virginia
