Job description
This per diem pharmacist opportunity offers a vital role providing vacation coverage in a well-established retail pharmacy setting. The position supports consistent pharmacy operations by maintaining extended weekday hours, Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, without a lunch closure to ensure continuous patient service.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing data entry for over 200 prescriptions daily using PioneerRx software
Verifying and accurately checking more than 200 prescriptions each day
Answering phone calls promptly and professionally
Handling controlled and narcotic drug deliveries, including check-in and signing
Collaborating with a team of three full-time pharmacy technicians
Desired qualifications and experience: Active and clear pharmacy license in Ohio
Minimum of one year recent experience in retail pharmacy practice
Comfortable and proficient with pharmacy software, preferably PioneerRx
Ability to efficiently perform data verification and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
The pharmacist plays an essential role maintaining pharmacy workflow and patient care during critical vacation periods, specifically August 10-14, September 14-18, and November 25.
