Job description
A healthcare facility in Newport, OR is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a per diem opportunity. This role involves distributing prescribed medications, educating patients on proper medication use, and delivering excellent customer service within a retail or long-term care setting.
Location: Newport, OR
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (9 hours/day)
Total of 45 hours for the week
Key Responsibilities: Accurately dispense prescription medications according to physician orders
Provide clear, informative guidance to patients and healthcare providers regarding medication use and potential side effects
Maintain a high standard of patient care and service quality
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Must hold an active Oregon Pharmacist license
Experience in retail pharmacy or long-term care settings is preferred
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently during scheduled shifts
