Job description
This opportunity is for a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide essential coverage for vacation relief in a nursing home setting serving approximately 50 residents. The role is based in Manassas, VA, and involves supporting the pharmacy team with prescription verification and other critical functions.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Specific coverage dates include August 5, 6, 7, 10, and 11
Responsibilities: Accurately verify prescriptions ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards
Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth medication distribution
Utilize Point Click Care system for documentation and processing
Support medication management services tailored to meet the needs of nursing home residents
Qualifications: Active and clear Virginia pharmacist license required
Minimum of one year recent pharmacy experience preferred
Experience working in nursing home or long-term care environments is beneficial
Proficiency with Point Click Care or similar pharmacy computer systems
