Job description
An independent compounding pharmacy located near Chattanooga, TN is seeking a skilled Per Diem Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage and support ongoing operational needs. This role offers a direct opportunity to apply your expertise in a fast-paced environment with high compound volume, supervising staff, and ensuring quality pharmaceutical services.
Location: Ooltewah, TN
Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM lunch break
Saturday and Sunday: Closed
Job Type: Per Diem
Key Responsibilities: Oversee a team of five pharmacy technicians responsible for data entry, prescription fills, and customer interactions
Address and answer any pharmacist-level inquiries or concerns that arise during operational hours
Supervise the mail order eye drop department, managing shipments of three varieties of post-cataract surgery eye drops
Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and ensure high standards of patient care and safety
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current Pharmacist License in good standing with the State of Tennessee
Minimum of 1-2 years of pharmacist experience; mail order experience is preferred but not mandatory
Strong leadership capabilities to effectively manage and guide pharmacy technicians
Ideal candidates include retired or semi-retired pharmacists as well as reliable recent graduates seeking per diem opportunities
