Job description
A pharmacist position is available in Punta Gorda, FL, offering per diem opportunities with a consistent weekday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. This role involves distributing medications as prescribed by healthcare providers, delivering critical information to patients regarding their medications, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense prescription medications in adherence to regulatory standards
Educate customers on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Maintain meticulous records according to pharmaceutical regulations
Uphold a superior level of customer service, addressing patient concerns with professionalism and care
Desired Qualifications: Valid Florida pharmacist license is required
Experience in retail and/or long-term care pharmacy settings is highly valued
Strong communication skills to effectively educate and assist patients
Detail-oriented with high ethical standards
Ability to manage workflow in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on assigned dates throughout May
