Job description
This per diem pharmacy position offers the opportunity to provide essential pharmaceutical care within a health clinic environment serving a vulnerable patient population. The role involves typical retail pharmacy duties with an emphasis on supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure effective and accurate medication dispensing.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform standard retail pharmacy functions, including prescription verification and dispensing
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily tasks
Utilize New Leaf pharmacy system for prescription processing and record management
Maintain a patient-centered approach with sensitivity and patience towards the clinic's vulnerable population
Collaborate with clinic health professionals to support patient care
Qualifications and Experience: Current pharmacist license in good standing
Recent retail pharmacy experience required
Ability to effectively supervise pharmacy technicians
Strong interpersonal skills with an open-minded and compassionate approach
Familiarity with pharmacy systems, preferably New Leaf
Location: San Francisco, CA (Equity Health SOMA Health Clinic)
Schedule: Per diem coverage on a semi-regular basis as needed
