Job description
This per diem pharmacist role offers a focused opportunity to support a busy retail pharmacy in Traverse City, MI, from August 17 through September 5. The position is ideal for professionals seeking flexible work with a defined schedule and hands-on experience in retail pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities include:
Managing prescriptions and patient consultations during scheduled shifts
Utilizing the RX30 pharmacy system for order entry and processing (training provided)
Collaborating with healthcare providers and pharmacy staff to ensure safe and effective medication dispensing
Maintaining compliance with state pharmacy regulations and standards
Schedule and environment: Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Rotating Saturday shifts from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Retail pharmacy setting offering direct patient interaction and dynamic workflow
Desired qualifications: Current Michigan pharmacy license
Experience working in a retail pharmacy environment
Familiarity with RX30 pharmacy management software preferred; training available for those with retail pharmacy experience
Strong communication and organizational skills to handle a fast-paced workload effectively
