Job description
An independent community pharmacy located in Asheville, NC is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to provide professional retail pharmacy services on a per diem basis. This opportunity offers a consistent schedule with a guaranteed two shifts per week, including every Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM plus one additional weekday mutually agreed upon to maintain a stable routine. There is potential for this position to convert to a permanent role over time.
Location: Asheville, NC
Schedule:
Two shifts per week, including Friday 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM
One additional weekday (Monday-Thursday) based on mutual agreement
Key Responsibilities: Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients
Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and safety
Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards
Manage inventory and maintain proper documentation
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
Qualifications / Desired Experience: Valid North Carolina Pharmacist license
Experience in retail or community pharmacy settings preferred
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Ability to establish a consistent schedule and build patient relationships
