Per Diem Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has designated NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital as a Level 2 Trauma Center. NYPBMH\'s designation as a "Stroke Center" by the New York State Department of Health indicates that we have a full team of specialists on call 24-hours a day to respond to stroke emergencies. We are also recognized by the American Stroke Association as a "Get With The Guidelines-Stroke (GWTG-Stroke) Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award" winner, as well as a member of "the Target: Stroke Honor Roll."
As a Department of Emergency services PA, you will participate in all aspects of emergency care including triage, resuscitation, emergency procedures (intubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, etc), fast track evaluation, and discharge.
Ideal candidates will have the ability to work across a variety of shifts, including day and night, to support dynamic staffing needs.
Qualifications
Required Criteria
Bachelor’s or Masters in Physician Assistant related studies
NYS PA Licensure
Current NCCPA Certification
ACLS/BLS
NYS Infection Control certification
Preferred Criteria
Experience in urgent care or emergency room preferred. Will consider new graduates.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
