Job description
A retail HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy in Henderson, NV, is seeking a per diem pharmacist to provide coverage starting June 1. This unique opportunity involves working independently as the sole pharmacist on-site without a pharmacy technician. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to efficiently manage daily workflow in a specialty pharmacy environment.
Schedule & Hours:
Monday, 6/1: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Tuesday, 6/2: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Wednesday, 6/3: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Wednesday, 6/10: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM *Training will be provided prior to June 1 to ensure a smooth transition.
Key Responsibilities: Accurately dispense and review approximately 20-35 prescriptions per day.
Provide high-level patient care with a focus on HIV/AIDS specialty medication counseling.
Maintain clear, professional communication with patients and healthcare providers.
Manage pharmacy operations independently, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
Utilize QS1 software to manage prescriptions and documentation.
Desired Qualifications: Active pharmacist license in Nevada.
Experience working in retail pharmacy, preferably in specialty pharmacy or HIV/AIDS focused settings.
Ability to work independently without a pharmacy technician.
Exceptional communication skills with patients and providers.
Dependable attendance with a punctual and positive approach to work.
