Job description
Step into a rewarding per diem opportunity as a Substitute Certified School Nurse, providing essential care and support within a dynamic educational setting near Temecula, CA. Make a genuine impact on students' well-being by offering your expertise as both an RN and Certified School Nurse (CSN).
What you'll need to succeed:
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential
Previous experience working with school-aged children or within educational environments is highly preferred
Thorough understanding of state and federal school health regulations
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and families
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and record-keeping abilities
Flexibility to adapt to a variety of assignments and school sites
Key responsibilities: Deliver routine and urgent care to students, including administering medications, first aid, and responding to medical emergencies
Implement individualized health care plans, including monitoring chronic conditions (such as diabetes or asthma)
Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and maintain accurate health records
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and students on health matters, disease prevention, and wellness promotion
Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student health needs and concerns
Collaborate with school staff to promote a safe and healthy environment for all students
