Job description
Provide expert pharmaceutical care in a retail environment supporting patient health and medication safety. This per diem role requires working under the direct supervision of the pharmacy manager to deliver high-quality service and ensure safe and accurate dispensing of medications.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
Counsel and advise patients on medication regimens, potential side effects, and proper usage
Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally according to organizational guidelines
Maintain accurate stock records, including controlled substances and inventories
Clarify third-party coverage issues and resolve patient medication-related problems
Desired Qualifications: Active and clear pharmacist license in Pennsylvania
Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
Familiarity with Pioneer pharmacy software or ability to quickly adapt to new systems
Strong communication skills for effective patient counseling and issue resolution
Attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance
Location: Bethel Park, PA with retail pharmacist coverage in Washington, Pennsylvania
Schedule: Per diem position
Shift: 1st
Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Assignment starting August 7th
