Job description
This per diem opportunity is seeking an experienced outpatient pharmacist to provide PRN coverage from June 12 through July 31. The role involves standard outpatient pharmacy duties in a low-volume setting, ideal for a pharmacist looking for flexible work with meaningful patient interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify approximately 40 prescriptions per day with accuracy and attention to detail
Provide patient counseling to ensure safe and effective medication use
Manage typical outpatient pharmacy tasks including prescription processing and medication dispensing
Qualifications and Experience: Current Iowa Pharmacist License required
Previous experience as a pharmacist in retail or outpatient settings preferred
Strong communication skills for effective patient interactions
Location: Des Moines, IA
This per diem position offers a competitive pay range of $65-$67 per hour during the coverage period. If you hold Iowa licensure and have outpatient or retail pharmacy experience, this role provides flexible hours in a supportive environment.
