Job description
An opening for a Staff Pharmacist is available in a specialty pharmacy setting, offering a per diem opportunity with a focused schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (8.5 hours daily) in Altoona, PA. This role involves direct interaction with patients and health practitioners to ensure the safe and effective use of medications, while consistently delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately distribute medications as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare providers
Provide clear, concise information and counseling to patients regarding their medications
Maintain high standards of customer service to enhance patient satisfaction
Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize medication use and patient outcomes
Desired Qualifications: Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
Experience in retail pharmacy or long-term care settings is highly preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively counsel patients and coordinate with healthcare professionals
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Total weekly hours: 42.5
Location: Specialty pharmacy in Altoona, PA
