Job description
A specialty pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support their Altoona, PA location on a per diem basis. This role involves dispensing prescribed medications, providing expert guidance on medication use, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, October 5-9, 2026
8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (8.5 hours per day)
Total of 42.5 hours for the week
Responsibilities: Accurately distribute medications prescribed by physicians and other healthcare providers
Educate patients and healthcare staff about proper medication usage and potential side effects
Maintain a high standard of customer service and professional communication
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
Qualifications & Desired Experience: Active Pharmacy License in Pennsylvania
Experience in retail and/or long-term care pharmacy practice preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a specialty pharmacy setting
Commitment to patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance
Location: Altoona, Pennsylvania
