Job description
A healthcare facility in Pflugerville, TX, is seeking qualified per diem pharmacists to provide essential coverage at their Austin location. This role requires licensed pharmacists who can work flexible shifts focused on patient safety and medication management. The site operates with Pioneer Rx software and includes technician support to assist with daily pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense medications in compliance with institutional policies and regulations.
Counsel patients on proper use and potential side effects of prescribed medications.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy.
Utilize Pioneer Rx system for order entry, verification, and record keeping.
Maintain a safe and organized pharmacy environment.
Ensure adherence to all safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Coverage needed for two specific weeks: June 15-19 and July 13-17, 2026.
Desired Experience: Current pharmacist license in the relevant state.
Proficiency with pharmacy software, preferably Pioneer Rx.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Previous experience in a fast-paced pharmacy setting is advantageous.
