Job description
A per diem Staff Pharmacist opportunity is available to provide full-week coverage at a managed pharmacy located in the southeastern corner of Iowa. This role supports an FQHC/340B pharmacy under GapRx's management, delivering essential retail pharmacy services in a community-focused setting.
Schedule:
Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 29
8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch break
Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive retail pharmacy services including medication dispensing and patient counseling
Open and close the pharmacy efficiently while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and maintaining workflow
Utilize Datascan by WinPharm system to manage pharmacy operations accurately
Collaborate with the healthcare team to support high-quality patient care in a 340B pharmacy environment
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active Iowa pharmacist license
Experience in retail/community pharmacy with responsibilities for opening, closing, and supervising
Familiarity with 340B pharmacy program preferred but not required
Comfortable working with a strong pharmacy technician team
Prior use of Datascan or similar pharmacy management systems is a plus
