Job description
A managed pharmacy located in the southeastern corner of Iowa, near the Illinois state line, seeks a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to provide per diem coverage for one full week. This role involves supporting a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) pharmacy managed under a 340B program, offering a rewarding chance to contribute to healthcare in a community-focused setting.

Schedule:
Monday, June 22 to Friday, June 29
8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch
Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive retail pharmacy services, including dispensing and patient counseling
Open and close the pharmacy according to established procedures
Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians, ensuring efficient pharmacy operations
Utilize the Datascan system by WinPharm for accurate processing and record-keeping
Adhere to FQHC and 340B pharmacy policies and regulations to optimize program compliance
Desired Qualifications: Active Iowa pharmacist license
Experience in retail or community pharmacy settings
Previous supervisory experience with pharmacy technicians
Familiarity with 340B program operations strongly preferred but not required
Ability to manage daily pharmacy functions independently with strong attention to detail
This position offers strong pharmacy technician support, allowing you to focus on clinical and supervisory tasks. The week-long assignment is pre-approved for travel professionals willing to temporarily relocate or travel to the region.
