Job description
A Staff Pharmacist position is available in a closed-door pharmacy setting attached to a behavioral hospital in Plano, TX. This role operates on a PRN, per diem basis, providing flexibility for candidates who prefer part-time opportunities or supplementing their work schedules. The pharmacy manages an average of 300-400 prescriptions daily, primarily focused within the behavioral health sector, with minimal walk-in traffic.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense and review prescription medications ensuring patient safety
Collaborate with healthcare teams to support medication management for behavioral health patients
Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
Utilize Enterprise RX software for processing prescriptions, with training provided
Manage inventory and support pharmacy operational needs during assigned shifts
Qualifications: Current licensure as a Pharmacist with recent practice experience
Local candidates with availability for PRN or part-time work are preferred
Willingness to learn and adapt to Enterprise RX pharmacy software (training included)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care in a behavioral health environment
Location: Plano, TX
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
