Job description
A dedicated Staff Pharmacist position is available on a per diem (PRN) basis, primarily covering vacation and PTO shifts. This role supports a closed-door pharmacy attached to a behavioral hospital, serving an average of 300-400 prescriptions daily. The setting offers a focused environment with limited walk-in customers, ideal for pharmacists seeking a balanced workload within the Wichita, TX area.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Software: Enterprise RX (training provided)

Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient safety and compliance with regulations
Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a behavioral hospital setting
Manage prescription processing with Enterprise RX software after training
Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
Provide patient counseling respecting confidentiality and clinical guidelines
Desired Qualifications: Current pharmacist licensure with recent pharmacy experience
Local candidate or currently working PRN or part-time in the area
Willingness to learn and use Enterprise RX software
Ability to adapt to a closed-door pharmacy environment focused on behavioral health
