Job description
A well-established independent pharmacy group in the Atlanta metro area is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist for a per diem position with potential growth into part-time floater coverage. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to support multiple locations while providing excellent patient care.
Location:
Based in Marietta, GA
Coverage across a family of four independently owned pharmacies within the Atlanta metro area
Schedule: Per diem position initially, with potential to expand up to 30-35 hours per week
Typical hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Responsibilities: Perform primary retail pharmacy duties including prescription verification, dispensing, and patient counseling
Manage a volume of approximately 100-150 prescriptions per day
Handle specialty medications, including preparation and packaging for delivery via mail and courier services
Float between up to four pharmacy locations, adapting to diverse patient populations and site-specific workflows
Utilize PrimeRX pharmacy software (experience preferred)
Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and excellent interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse patient base
Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities across multiple sites
Familiarity with specialty medication handling is a plus
