Job description
This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist role in a retail pharmacy setting located in Torrance, CA. The position is per diem with a start date of May 18, offering flexibility to work on an as-needed basis.
Pharmacy Hours:
Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Daily prescription volume ranges between 60-70, supported by a team consisting of one pharmacist and one pharmacy technician. Experience using Datascan is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities include: Dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
Verifying drug orders and patient information to ensure safety and compliance
Counseling patients on medication use and potential side effects
Collaborating with pharmacy staff to maintain workflow and ensure high customer service standards
Desired Qualifications: Current pharmacist licensure in California
Some pharmacy experience preferred to confidently manage prescription volume
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
