nOur team is looking for a Perinatal Instructor to join our team to help teach our prepared childbirth class. We would like someone that can teach this calss twice a month.

nSummary:
nCollaborates with healthcare team members to provide educational instruction and support for expectant families and the community. Other duties may be assigned.
nResponsibilities:
nnnAdheres to hospital infection control policies for Women's and Children's Services including hand-washing, nails, jewelry, and dress code.
n
nnDemonstrates proper response to hospital codes and alerts according to policies.
n
nnDisplays proper identification at all times and observes infant security measures according to established guidelines.
n
nnUtilizes a variety of teaching techniques in educational presentations.
n
nnDemonstrates knowledge, enthusiasm, organization and responsiveness during class instruction.
n
nnEstablishes and maintains effective interpersonal relationships with clients, family members, physicians and co-workers.
n
nnCommunicates with health-care team members to ensure consistency and quality of information through attendance at instructor meetings and observation.
n
nnMaintains updated knowledge of class content and certification as appropriate.
n
nnTeaches required minimum number of classes to meet the needs of clients.

nEducation Requirements:
n● High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Bachelor's degree preferred.
nLicensure/Certification Requirements:
n● C BIRTH ED;BCLS
nProfessional Experience Requirements:
n● One year experience in women's health education in hospital or clinic setting required. Experience in health education, and obstetrics preferred.
nKnowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
n● Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and communicate clinical information, technical procedures, and health care issues. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, members of the business community, and the general public. Ability to effectively present information to public groups. Ability to educate both adult/pediatric learners. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to implement critical thinking skills required.
