Job description

Perioperative Registered Nurse

Job Title: Registered Nurse

Profession: Nursing

Specialty: Pre-Operative

Duration: 12 months

Shift: Day

Hours per Shift: 8

Experience: Minimum of 2 years

License: Valid CA RN License

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Must-Have: Admissions experience, ability to float as needed

Description: Provide direct and indirect patient care to clinic patients and their families. Utilize the nursing processes of comprehensive patient assessment, development, and implementation of nursing care plans. Educate patients and families on ongoing evaluation and care. Deliver holistic and individualized care to all patients in the assigned area. Develop, implement, and coordinate an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care. Incorporate psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. Foster and maintain collaborative relationships between patients, families, and healthcare providers. Communicate effectively in a timely manner to promote a quality patient experience. Adhere to policies, industry standards, and applicable laws and regulations. Engage in continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice. Conduct patient assessments encompassing physiological, spiritual, and emotional areas. Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care services. Provide competent and compassionate patient care in accordance with evidence-based practices. Administer medications and therapeutic agents as ordered. Delegate tasks appropriately based on scope of practice and individual capability. Communicate treatment options clearly to patients and families. Maintain the confidentiality of all patients' protected health information. Stay informed on advancements and best practices in nursing. Support efficient clinical operations and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Provide training and orientation to new staff members. Assist with patient care activities as needed. Work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
