nJob Summary: MaineGeneral Health is hiring a Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgical Services team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the surgical process by delivering compassionate, holistic care to patients before, during, and after surgery. You’ll ensure patient safety and comfort, support positive outcomes, and collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care.

nPosition: Perioperative Registered Nurse
nLocation: Thayer Center for Health, WatervilleSchedule: Part-time (32 hours/week)
nShift: Days (M-F, no call, weekends or holidays)
nPosition Highlights:
nnThis position is M-F with no call, weekends, or holidays. However, you are expected to complete cross-campus training so you can float to the Alfond Center for Health if needed.
n nWhat You'll Do:
nnnPlans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
n
nnCollaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
n
nnMaintains and troubleshoots surgical equipment. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.

n nWhat We're Looking For:
nnnCurrent State of Maine RN license (or ability to obtain promptly).
n
nnMinimum of 2 years of operating room experience preferred.
n
nnStrong problem-solving abilities, flexibility, and critical thinking skills.
n
nnEffective communication skills with patients, families, and team members.

nThe hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
