Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) Advanced Cardiac Surgical Unit (ECMO)
Location: Orlando, FL | Full Time
A leading Cardiovascular Institute in the Southeast is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join its Advanced Cardiac Surgical Unit. This high-acuity unit provides advanced care for cardiac transplant, LVAD, mechanical circulatory support (MCS), and ECMO patients.
Schedule
Mix of day and night shifts
Full-time nights also considered for interested candidates
Responsibilities
Assess patients for changes in condition and initiate appropriate interventions, including emergency care
Perform procedures including chest tubes, arterial catheters, central venous catheters, pulmonary artery catheters, airway management, and defibrillation
Assist with pre-, peri-, and postoperative management of cardiac transplant, VAD, MCS, and ECMO patients
Participate in quality/performance improvement activities and clinical research
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as an APP with direct patient care experience, including ECMO experience
Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing with Acute Care Certification (required)
Board Certification through NCCPA, ANCC, or AACN
BLS, ACLS, CALS, FCCS certifications or eligible
Experience with transplant patients, LVAD, circulatory assist devices, and CABG (highly preferred)
CICU or CVICU RN experience (highly preferred)
