Job description

Job Description

Seeking a full-time Family Medicine to join a Health Center located in Rensselaer, New York. This is an exciting opportunity to join an existing outpatient practice with strong patient demand and hospital affiliated practice support.

Open to 4-day or 5-day work week. 40 hours per week, 34 patient facing hours.

Call is 1 in every 13 weeks, weeklong call from Monday evening to the following Monday morning. Phone calls only, they never have to go in for anything. The amount of calls vary - obviously during things like flu season, etc they are higher. Hard to gauge because it varies, and because the call schedule is shared amongst several offices it is less frequent, but you are taking calls for all the offices in the group.

Opportunities for hybrid work in the Hospitalist division or in continuing care may be available, if desired.

APP collaboration at practice site may provide additional source of compensation.

Opportunities for teaching 1st year AMC students as well as precepting NP/PA students are plentiful within the medical group.

Adult medicine services for established patients include routine care for illness, injury, and chronic medical conditions; preventive health and wellness screenings; routine immunizations and preventive inoculations; routine physicals (including employment, insurance, and school physicals); and sick visits by appointment.

This practice also offers refugee health assessments in conjunction with the New York State Department of Health. Clinical social workers are onsite for consultation, assessment, and referrals.
