Exciting Opportunity for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in Belmont, NC
Join a dynamic team at a state-of-the-art facility in Belmont, North Carolina, where you will take a leading role in a brand new, 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont, set to open in late 2024. This facility is conveniently located just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte and 8 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, offering easy access to over 180 destinations.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct daily rounds on newborns and attend deliveries when requested.
Take call from home after in-house rounding.
Stabilize, manage, and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for higher-level care.
Collaborate with a team of 4 NNPs and a Level III NICU supported by 2 Neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs just 7 miles away.
Opportunity for supplemental PRN shifts at the Level III NICU in Gastonia, though not required.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
Current NNP Board Certification (FNP, PNP, or any other NP certifications not accepted).
Minimum of 2+ years of employment experience as a NNP (not including RN experience).
Must not be a new graduate or locum candidates.
License and Certification Requirements:
NC license (or willingness to obtain).
DEA must be obtained prior to start.
Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
