Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director Position in Athens, OH
Pediatrix is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director to lead our esteemed healthcare team at a leading medical facility in Athens, OH.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 3 Pediatric Hospitalists.
Provide newborn nursery care with NICU support from Neonatologists.
Manage 24/7 on-call coverage using a round and go model with call from home.
Perform circumcisions and provide pediatric consultations to the Emergency Department.
Collaborate with a team of Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists for coordinated care.
Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and clinical research projects.
Exchange ideas and best practices with a large network of Pediatrix providers.
Qualifications:
Board Certified in Pediatrics (Required)
OH license (or willingness to obtain) (Required)
Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) (Required)
Previous employment experience in leadership roles (Preferred)
DEA (must be obtained prior to start) (Required)
License and Certification Requirements:
Board Certification in Pediatrics (Required)
Active Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain (Required)
DEA number to be obtained prior to start (Required)
