Job description
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Position
Provide 8–12 weeks per year of service in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), including home call coverage.
Oversee a growing team of APPs managing complex post-operative patients such as those recovering from cardiac surgery, major vascular procedures, and TAVR.
Deliver comprehensive anesthesia services during non-ICU weeks, including general operating room coverage, obstetric anesthesia, and healthy pediatric cases.
Share OR call duties proportionally based on ICU coverage.
Work with an experienced, multidisciplinary team in a Level 2 Trauma Center setting.
Participate in clinical decision-making, protocol development, and care coordination.
Engage in teaching and mentoring opportunities with residents and APPs.
Utilize Epic EMR for seamless and integrated patient documentation.
Join a collaborative and innovative department focused on clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuous improvement.
Must be available to start ASAP.
Not open to locum and/or locum to perm candidates.
Not open to candidates who have lapsed Board Certification(s) and need to obtain them again.
Not open to providers who want to commute long distances (more than 1 hour) and/or in conjunction with another job(s).

Submission Requirements:
Board Eligible (must become Board Certified within 2 years of starting at Henry Ford) or Board Certified in Anesthesiology - REQUIRED.
MI license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED.
Fellowship-trained in Critical Care Medicine - REQUIRED.
BLS (or willing to obtain prior to start date) – REQUIRED.
ACLS (or willing to obtain prior to start date) – REQUIRED.
PALS (or willing to obtain prior to start date) – REQUIRED.
DEA (or willing to obtain prior to start date) – REQUIRED.
Current COVID and flu vaccinations (note in "Additional Submission Details" field) - REQUIRED.
Clean Malpractice and License History - REQUIRED.
