Job description
Join our legal team as a Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney handling 75-100 motor vehicle accident and premises liability caseload from inception through trial.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to handle a diverse caseload, from initial client consultations to trial preparation. You will leverage your strong legal research, negotiation, and litigation skills to advocate effectively for injured clients, ensuring their rights are protected and their cases are thoroughly prepared for success. Duties:
Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accident and premises liability cases
Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and stay current on relevant statutes and case law.
Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and discovery requests with precision and clarity.
Prepare for and participate in court depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations to advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
Develop case strategies through thorough investigation, evidence collection, and analysis of liability issues related to personal injury law.
Communicate clearly with clients regarding case progress, legal options, and settlement opportunities while maintaining compassionate client service.
Collaborate with experts in fields such as accident reconstruction or medical evaluation to strengthen case positions.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active admission to the New Jersey state bar.
3+ years of experience handling personal injury cases from inception through trial or settlement negotiations.
Deposition experience is required
Trial experience is a plus but not required
Demonstrated ability in negotiation tactics and courtroom advocacy during depositions or trial preparation.
