Job description
Personal Lines Account ManagerOur client is a growing independent insurance agency seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join its team. This position is focused primarily on servicing an established personal lines book of business.ResponsibilitiesManage and service an existing book of personal lines accounts, including home, auto, umbrella, rental properties, and other personal insurance productsHandle policy changes, endorsements, billing questions, vehicle and driver changes, mortgagee/lienholder updates, ID cards, evidence of insurance, and policy documentationReview renewals and identify accounts that require attention or additional follow-upRemarketing accounts when appropriate and communicate with insurance carriers and underwritersExplain coverage, policy options, and changes clearly to clientsMaintain consistent communication with clients by phone, email, and textIdentify potential coverage gaps and opportunities to round out accounts with additional productsWork closely with producers on cross-selling and account-development opportunitiesAssist with certificates, endorsements, and general servicing of small commercial accountsMaintain accurate and up-to-date client and policy information within the agency management systemTake ownership of client issues and follow through from start to finishProvide a high level of personal service while maintaining organization and attention to detailQualificationsPrevious experience working in an independent insurance agency preferredStrong personal lines insurance experience requiredActive Pennsylvania P&C license preferredExperience with an independent agency environment is a plusSmall commercial insurance experience is a plusStrong customer service and communication skillsHighly organized with excellent attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and follow through independentlyComfortable working with carrier websites, agency management systems, and other insurance technologyAbility to recognize coverage needs and identify opportunities for additional businessExperience with EPIC and/or comparative rating systems is a plusDependable, accountable, and willing to take ownership of responsibilitiesTeam-oriented approach with the ability to work closely with agency owners and producers
